Privacy policy

Your records stay
with you.

Last updated: September 2, 2026

Migraine Tracker: Capture is designed to help you record a migraine with as little effort as possible. This policy explains what the current MVP does with your information.

What data the app stores

The app can store migraine and headache records, timestamps, optional medication entries, severity, functional impact, symptoms, and notes that you choose to add. These records are health information and are treated as private.

Where your data is stored

The current iOS app uses SwiftData for local-first storage on your device. It does not require an account and does not send your health records to a server. The current MVP does not use iCloud or CloudKit sync.

Sharing and exports

Health records leave the device only when you explicitly choose to share or export them using the system share sheet. Once shared, the information is handled by the service or person you choose.

Third-party services and analytics

The current MVP has no advertising SDK, behavioral advertising, data sale, or product analytics service. It does not use HealthKit, crash reporting, or other third-party health-data services in the current implementation.

Payments

The current MVP does not include subscriptions or in-app payments.

Deleting your data

You can delete records using the deletion controls in the app. Deleting the app also removes its local data according to your device’s normal app-deletion behavior. Any copy you have explicitly shared must be deleted from the destination separately.

Children’s privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Medical information

Migraine Tracker: Capture is a record-keeping tool, not a medical device. It does not diagnose conditions, provide treatment advice, or replace a clinician’s care.

Policy updates

If the app’s data practices change, this policy will be updated before or when those changes take effect. The “Last updated” date above will also change.
